Got Mostaciolli?


Started the day out making 4 big batches of Mostaciolli Salad for the wedding reception tomorrow night. (Paula and Rons, son ,Cody and his wife to be , Tammy) are getting married in Fremont tomorrow.
Jan, got me started making this, years ago. It's a big hit around here in the summer. It keeps really well!

Mostaciolli Salad

1 box mostaciolli- cooled til done , rise well, set aside
mix next ingredients in a bowl (mix well, to make sure the sugar is disolved) I usually use less sugar than this,or sometimes I use Splenda.
1 3/4 cups sugar, one teaspoon each, salt, pepper and garlic salt. 2 Tab parsley.2 Tab mustard, 2 1/2 cups brown vinegar. After mixed well, add 1 large chopped red onion, 1 unpleeled cucumber chopped. Pour over Mostaciolli noodles. Let stand overnight. Makes a LARGE bowl!

Ok, now that, that mess is out of the way! whew!

So I don't forget to tell those of you who had read earlier in the blog about Jarad applying for the job posting at Valmont that he wanted. Well, he found out yesterday... HE GOT IT!!! He is starting that Job June 19th. This is a fantastic opportunity for him, as it's an Electronic Technician position. One he would work after he is finished with his schooling. This way, he will already be there, learning as he goes. And then , of course, once he has his degree the pay will increase even more. This is a good thing, for him!

Tonight is Neely's concert! Yippee! We will be heading out soon, so better go get ready!
