Busy Tuesday

JUST A REMINDER
I'll be drawing for this ScrapMuse giveaway on Monday.. so just leave a comment and let me know if you'd like to be in on the drawing. THANKS AMANDA from SCRAPMUSE!
Here's the info ScrapMuse Sept Kit Giveaway

I've been working like crazy, trying to get things done up before I leave for Memory Trends next week. Today I was working with my ScrapMuse kit...the one pictured above... and it's Gorgeous! I cant show you projects until next week, when the DT uploads ...but here's one little extra I did today , with just a few scraps from the kit. The papers are so "fallish" and beautiful, it's amazing how just a few strips of it , on this old canning jar, is kind of fun and whimsy.
The butterfly on the stick and the green scallop around the top of the jar are some of the yummy , Fancy Pants Felt.

Do you have specific things "tools" you use when you work , that you just cant survive without? Well, this eraser is one of mine! When I was working on my projects today, I couldn't find my white eraser... and I NEED IT! Actually I have a number of them... and do you think I could find ONE? Finally, I found this one unopened.. in the drawer. Yes.. it says chalk eraser.. but I use it for pencil lines... it works so well and doesn't leave marks on your paper, or dull the color of patterned papers.
There are all kinds of white erasers out ...but for some reason, I like to use this. Quirky I know! lol
I'd love to hear what scrap/craft/stamp tool, you just cant live without. We probably all have faves that others might really like also.

I have to say... when it comes to friends... I have some of the very best! There really are truly good people in this world... and I've met so many of them through blogging lately... I'm just overwhelmed. I was so touched when I got the mail and had received a touching card and generous donation to Daves Fundraiser , from Lidy at French Garden House. Thank you Lidy!!!

And then my friend Shawn (Bonorama mama)
sent me the sweetest card and these vintage trims! I dont even care if I use them... I'm just enjoying looking at them... lol
Thanks Shawn, your a doll!

So much going , I keep forgetting to mention ALL the fun things going on. Sorry for bouncing around...but LOOK... I'm up , over at
(they are going to fix the "y" in Vicki to and "i") lol...
But I told Dee, I like the charicature... because they make me look thinner and my hair looks better than normal! lol
I'll be having some project kits up soon
*************************************************
And the other fun thing is , I've been asked to be Guest Celeb Designer at Busy Bee Scrapbooking this month. Super nice girls over there and lots of talent! Check out their gallery. So nice of them to have me.
Hope your all off to a great start to your week!

The scallop around your vase is lovely ... just understated enough to not compete with the flowers!

My favorite thing to use on projects is the glaze pens. I love how they have the look of embossing.

Just seen the post on the Mrs. Grossmans tweezers, I agree, they are the best.

So glad you enjoyed your goodies! I love lace/old ribbons etc. Just fun to play with. My must have's have to be my paper piercer (I have 2), good black journaling pen, good adhesive I always keep a few different kinds on hand, sewing machine, cutterbee scissors, fiskars paper trimmer. Oh and printer ink! I'm sure there is more but I'll just stop at that! That canning jar is so cute! What a good idea using that felt. Love all of your ideas!

wow love that jar so cute. I cannot live without my special fiskars scissors (No.5 Softouch Micro-Tip Scissors-Coastal) as they cut so perfectly and my Crafters Clear Acrylic Ruler with Steel Edge as I NEED to have everything measured ....

Well, little miss fancy pants, you just continue to make that Fancy Pants give-away look so Scrumptious!

For so long, my "can't survive without tool" is my Basic Grey's Magnetic Precision Mat, but now they tell me the glass mat is the way to go when one cuts. That DOES make sense, but, my mat and I are so fond of each other and the glass seems to cold and aloof, but...I do need to keep my exacto-knives happy.

Vic, I love those page frames too! wow they are cute. I think my favorite tools are my x-acto blade and my platinum brushables marker. I use IT all the time. I am lost when I can't find it and can only find my regular platinum marker. Hope you are doing great!! xox.

Aren't you just the creative whirlwind! LOL!

I guess the one tool I just can't live without is my Dahle paper trimmer. I have many gifts, but cutting a straight line with a pair of scissors is not one of them!

Thanks for sharing. Michelle sent us to your site, and I must say, it is really great. I will check it out often.

I love that jar vase! That felt is just too fun - I need to get some! I think the only tool I use EVERY time I scrap is my paper trimmer, but who doesn't, right? Well, that and a good journaling pen - I'm all about the hand journaling!

Great blog! I'd love to be part of your drawing. I got the link from the Crafty Secrets e-mail. I will have to take a look at those glimmer mists. I've been putting irridescent medium together with my color washes - but this looks a lot neater (since I tend to spill things!)
