Givaway tomorrow / Halloween Projects

Wow , where did this week go? Hard to believe tomorrow is Friday already! You can still put your name in for the giveaway drawing for tomorrow by posting a comment HERE.
I'll be drawing for a winner , first thing tomorrow morning.
The Halloween Image and Journal book (to the right) is what I'll be giving away. It's from Crafty Secrets Heartwarming Vintage
All of the Halloween projects I've been doing this week, where done using Images from this book. The images are so cute, it sure makes it easy to use.. you can go wrong. lol All the projects I did this week, were really
simple and quick projects that you can put together in no time.

*** You have to pop over to the Heartwarming Vintage blog and see the
great projects that are posted ... totally inspiring.
AND... wish Sandy (owner of Crafty Secrets) and her hubby Scott a happy Anniversary! They are seriously the cutest couple! Still so in love after 30 years!

______

The first one , is just another simple little dollar store frame that I altered
by painting it black , adding the image and saying , and just embellishing
with a little trim and ribbon. I've always struggled with how to attach ribbon to wood things like this , until my sis, showed me a little trick. She just uses a decorative thumb tack.. and it pushed right into the wood and holds the ribbon in place perfectly. ( I've found so many cute decorative colored thumb tacks at Target and Dollar stores, it's ridiculous)... really cheap!

I know I've showed you a variation of this before..but here's another. I just used two varied sizes of round punches to make the brim of the hat.. and a place for it to set down on the top of the sucker (the top of the witches head). Then a rolled a piece of paper into a cone and trimmed it to fit on top. Using a quick drying glue, I attached it to the brim. Any messy glue spots are covered by the ribbon.
I just matted the image on black cardstock for a bit more stability, cut slits in it to put the sucker stick though.

I'm still.. sooooo loving these test tubes. I just added an image to the front of this one , and then added a decorative crystal ball to the top using a orange pearl colored straight pin.. by pushing it into the cork top.
My plan was to have it filled with orange m&m's or orange and black jellybeans for this photo, but as you can see , I didn't make it to the store before this mornings post. grrrr
(you'll have to use your imagination on this one) lol

Here's a close up of the top.

Crafty Secrets is at the CK show in Phoenix.. if you anywhere near.. check them out!!
Mom has an eye appointment with the doctor in Omaha today, so gotta run! I'm running behind.. as usual. lol Have a Super day!

Please Lord, hear my prayer, send me vision so I can see all the cute things to do with the fun items like Vicki! I ran out and bought the test tubes (They had 4 with little pens in them for $5 or 8 empty for $12? Now go figure which ones I bought!) Then, I didn't have a lcue what to do with them. Now I do......
