*UPDATE* Halloween Giveaway and a new project

I cant believe how it's beginning to feel so "fallish" already. I thought it would be a good time to do some projects with the "Halloween" Image and Journal Book from Crafty Secrets. There are so many great images in that book.. it seems to go on forever. I decided each day the rest of the week, I will post simple projects I've done , using images from this book, and**** whoever posts a comment in this post, will get their name put in for a drawing for a Halloween image book of their own..that I will draw for on Friday.****
So to be entered , all you have to do it comment in this post. I'll announce the winner on Friday!
Here is my first project using one of the images from the book. It's another one of the Dollar store shadow boxes, like I did with the fairy before. ( the fairy shadowbox got picked up for publication while I was in Canada.. so I thought it was time to do another) Yay! I was also thrilled that a Fancy Pants Baby Boy Box set that I did with baby photos of Griff was also picked up for the upcoming Scrapbook Trends Baby issue.
See how I get off track. ..lol Back to the Shadow Box. Again.. I just used foam squares from Scrapbook Adhesives by 3L to add dimension between the layers.

Fun and quick project. I just painted the box and four large wooden beads black and then hot glued them on for feet.
This is the booklet , I'll be giving away to someone on Friday.

Here is just a little peek at some of the images inside. There are a total of 32 perforated Pages , with images and journaling spots.
So... if you want in on the drawing ..just leave a comment here.

UPDATED: The kitten has a new home!! Thanks to my sister-in-law Lori's boss!! Thanks Lori and Lou!
____________________________________
Okay... now for any of you who live anywhere near... I am SO trying to find a home for this SWEET LITTLE KITTEN. Geeezzz.. I am such a sucker for animals , and this kitten is stealing my heart! Someone obviously dumped it out here in the country. It has a flea collar on , so it belonged to someone. It's sad, but this happens often out here. It's totally lovable and used to people , ..not wild at all.
I have been feeding it and made a box with a towel in it out on the back deck for it to sleep in ,but I can only keep hiding it from the dogs for so long. They will FREAK if they see it, so I've been letting them out , only in the front yard.
I can not keep this sweet little kitten, so I really need to find it a home , right away. If not by Thursday (day after tomorrow) , I will have to take it to the shelter.

I am really really trying not to get attached to it. But it is just so totally sweet, it's killing me.

This cat KNOWS I am an animal lover, and it's working me, BIG time.
( oh..and thanks for the cat tips about milk ect)... I know my dog business, but Cats are new to me)
I so wish I could keep it..but the dogs will have NO part of this I know.
If you know anyone that could give it a good home please contact me.

Hope you're feeling better today. I've enjoyed all of your great pics from BC. Someday I'd love to travel across Canada by train-doesn't that sound exciting! Your Halloween box is so cute-anything with buttons is a winner in my book! I have tons (well maybe a few pounds) of unpainted wood pieces to decorate and put ball feet on...need to stop reading blogs so much and get cracking!The journaling booklets are all so cute and you are so kind to share ;-}

Congratulations! I loved your fairy box so I'm not surprised it was picked up for publication. I wish I lived close to you, I would take the cat if I did. She (I'm guessing) is so pretty. I have 2 cats of my own, so it is probably a good thing I don't live close...my hubby would have a fit if I brought home another :)
Love the Halloween journaling cards too...hope I win :)

I too loved your pictures of Canada and got to see my home town, Victoria through and visitor's eyes. You are inspiring me to make some shadow box gifts for Christmas. If you are ever back this way call me Jan at jd_norman@shaw.ca and we will show you the underbelly of the scrap life in Victoria.

I got two posts in one today and just heard about your kitty. I am so sorry I am not close. I have a friend that provides shelter to cats until she can get them adopted. But that is here in Maryland. As for the little halloween book, please enter me. I am in the process of making a project for you from the last ones! Your pictures are amazing and your creations are so inspiring to me. I am trying to find some great chotchkies to put together and send to you as a proper thanks!

After taking last year off from teaching, I'm back working with kindergartners, and having to seriously re-arrange my weekend errands, chores, to-do list- because I wantwantwant to start getting ready for Halloween! Mums are available in the nursery, Halloween candy is starting to be stocked in the stores, and you're giving away such wonderful goodies! Must...prioritize...my...schedule!

So glad the kitten found a home - I was working on my Mom for ya - they don't have any cats on the farm right now - She is sooo adorable, couldnot let my kiddos see. I had to take a small gray kitten to the shelter here a couple months ago and my DD cried for 2 days (its not a no kill shelter - they only keep them so long...) But he got adopted - made DH go check :) - I have 3 cats at the moment - my old one is getting pretty thin...she's 18...
Love the shadow box!!! How appropriate that you used the cat image :)
