Crafty Secrets at CHA

Back from CHA with lots to share. I'll share CHA photos mixed with projects all week this week..but I thought I'd start with just showing you some photos of the Crafty Secrets Booth, Class and make and takes. The booth was looked SO great!

Below .. the girls who worked the Crafty Secrets booth. Design Team member Michele Kovack, (me), and Sandy Redburn(owner of CS). I don't know how we didnt get a photo with Amy Stewart..darn! She was a great help to use in the booth. Thanks Amy!

This is a quick photo of my class Wen morning. I almost forgot to take a photo..until the class was over and everyone was starting to head out. eek These 50 girls were up and in class with me by 7am!! We worked on two different shadowboxes (one sewing themed and one with fairies), and also a card done with the new bird cage stamp set. It was a two hour class... and we utilized every minute of it. Way to go girls!~

( that fun banner running across the booth was made from our new Double sided Creative Scraps). They were a huge hit!

Check out this fun little retro kitchen display. We made a trip to the store the night before the show..because I was determined that double basket needed lemons, and red apples. lol

Sandy had this awesome new trunk to add to the display props for this show.

This was at my make and take in the booth. Super fun! I'll show and tell you more about that in an upcoming post.

Sandy has some great props.... and these gorgeous big frames.. along with that red table and blue trunk... love them all.

As always... preparing for CHA , and working CHA are at times exhausting..but when you get there... seeing good friends and the hype of it all, gives you a second wind. Seeing friends ..that you usually only get to see at shows like these... and meeting new friends, from online, classes, ect.... is defiantly the best part of it all! I have made some wonderful friends in this industry.. that's for sure. I'll be sharing those photos this week also.

Right now.. I'm unpacking , doing laundry.. and just enjoying being home.

Wes was home today and just hung out .. which was so nice. We had pizza and all watched "Alice in Wonderland" together. The dogs were thrilled to have us all in the same room ..so they could get attention from everyone. They made the rounds! When one person quit petting them ..they just moved on to the next.

Who keeps spoiling these dogs anyway? lol

Okay... I'll be back with lots more photos and projects to share over the next few days.

Missed you all. Feels good to be back into my comfortable routine.

CHA bound

Here it is .. one more sleep at home before getting on the plane and heading for Chicago! Seems like I've been counting down the days for weeks.. and now it's here. I think I have everything I needed to do .. done ( unless I think of something when I'm laying in bed trying to get to sleep tonight. lol.. Thats what usually happens).

Thought I'd share some peeks of my Crafty Secrets Heartwarming Vintage class.

Three different projects in a two hour class. Two of them are done with my shadowbox die. The first one is a "Fairy Shadowbox"

The second one will be a fun "Sewing" themed shadowbox. This one has lots of fun little details. Cant wait!

and a little peek at part of a "bird" themed card.

We have lots of fun make and takes planned for each of the days of the show. I'll be doing these in the Crafty Secrets booth (#1407). If your at CHA ... please come say HI. We'd love to see you. If your not going to CHA.. no problem.. I'll take LOTS of photos to share, okay?

We'll be making postcards in a number of different themes. Stamping, and embellishing with lots of pretties.

We will also be making some of these! Fancy Pants ... oh so cool frames.. with Crafty Secrets gorgeous images, hung from beautiful Creative Impressions ribbon. I know these will be a big hit.

We'll also be hosting make and takes of different Christmas cards.... and..

Halloween Cards too!

Sorry for the quick (not so great) photos..but everything is got to move quick at this point. lol

Okay.. now , just because I love sharing silly stuff.. lol... I had to show you these new Cuties I ran across at PayLess. ha... $7 Um.. yeh.. not much for "support" lol..but cute.

As I was going through my photos from last weekend, I ran across this "better" picture.. of the old photos on the wall. I can tell you how fun it was to see everyone chatting about them. I think this is going to be a tradition. It doesn't have to be black and whites.. I think just random family photos from years past , would be alot of fun.

One more photo I have to share. We have been having crazy weather the past few nights. ( yes.. the Molly has been FREAKING). Poor dog is SO scared of thunder and lightening! Anyway... I could not believe the color of the sky the other night. It was about 8pm or so .. and the sky was just a strange golden orange. I didn't photoshop this at all... this is the color of the sky as I looked out the bedroom window. wierd huh?

CHA sneak peeks and a fun weekend with family

Hey everyone.. thanks for being so patient and waiting for me to get back into my blogging routine. (thought the photo of Molly waiting in the car for me.. was fitting) lol.
Things have just been crazy busy this past couple of weeks. CHA is just days away now... and coming quick. I've been working on projects ..but also taking time with family. This past weekend was totally about family! We had a huge family get together, and all my brothers and sisters where home( along with as
many other family members who could make it). Part of the plan was also to have a family photo taken, since we hadn't done that for a while. It was a great weekend. You know how I am with photos.. I love to share them. So.. if you are interested there's more about my weekend, and lots of photos at the end of this post.

Family photo. Mom and the kids. The only thing that would have made this time any better is if Dad and Gary were still here to be in this photo with us.

We totally enjoyed having Dawn ( my niece), Gary and Becca stay here with us while they were here from Florida. We had such a great time and LOTS of late night laughs! Dawn is my sister Sharon's daughter.

Becca humored me with some fun photo shoots. She is such a sweetheart. I cant tell you how great it was to have them here, so we got to spend some one on one time with them.

After the family photos where done we gathered for dinner at the place we rent for family things. The cousins had fun playing together as always. This is my brother Rays Granddaughter,Addy

Sister Sharons grandkidlets.

The walls in here were pretty bare.. so I had this idea to put up some copies of old family photos. It turned out to be a great thing.. as we all looked at them, chatted and reminisced. Seriously.. try it the next time you have a family gathering. Just hang a piece of wire or ribbon and clip photos up with clothespins. Easy to put up and take down. I think everyone enjoyed the little walk down memory lane.

You know me .. I have a few hundred photos of the day.. some of everyone. It was hard to just pick a few to share in this post. lol It really was just a fantastic weekend!

** We are making plans to celebrate moms 90th birthday next year! She looks great doesn't she? She's amazing!
