Wow.. it's been an exciting week over on the Heartwarming Vintage blog! Sandy has been sharing the newly released goodies ..and hosting lots of giveaways. Well, today the fun continues, with the Design Team girls sharing what they have been creating with the new products.
I'm going to show you some things you can do with the Lacey Patterns Clear Art stamp set.
SM42 Lacey Patterns will be a new medium 4 x 6” Clear Art Stamp Set which has 13 very pretty designs perfect for repeating to create pattern paper and designs. Each of the larger stamps is over 1.5” and there is a stitching border and 7 assorted matching stamp designs to build and create with.
I created the background mat for this frame using this stamp set. I did sort of a pattern when I stamped... by stamping in each corner and then working in, using the same patterns. You can also just build with the set randomly, using the smaller peices with the large. I'll show you that, further down in this post.
I started with this simple dollar store frame. I sanded and then sprayed the frame with gloss black spray paint.
I used my Lacey Patterns stamp set and created the patterned I wanted on my plain white mat, (using black die based ink). You will be spraying over it with Glimmer Mist which is water based, so you will want to made sure your ink is totally dry before the next step.
I chose Key Lime, Jazz Blue, and Cosmos for my colors. I misted lightly and let my colors blend together. ( I always keep paper towels handy and lift away extra color for a even look). I dont always do that, but in this case, I wanted the patterned of the stamps to be the focus, so I thought even color was best.
There are so many pattern varieties you can create and with this stamp set. Below I just wanted to show you how you can stamp with black on different colors of cardstock. ( this is just repeating, using one design repeated in a square pattern. ** Of course using different colors of INK.. puts another spin on it totally.
Below, you can see how you can build without repeating the pattern. I just built randomly using the smaller elements that are part of this set.
Imagine the gorgeous corners and borders you could create :)
The girls have been busy creating projects for this challenge and I know they are going to be fantastic as always. So ... please pop around and check them out.
