This month on the Tattered Angels blog we  are playing with Prima goodies and Tattered Angels Paints and Mists. There has never been any doubt, from the beginning ..these two are fabulous together. For the project below, I just cut the center out of my paintable from Prima and created a frame. After painting I attached it to a piece of heavy (grid patterned) acrylic. I hot glued on a painted clothes pin and dressed it up.. so I can change out photos (or messages) any time I want.

The painting certainly does not have to been perfect or precise by any means. ( as you can see by mine) but the look is fantastic. I used Sea Kelp, Emerald Cove and Plumeria Glaze. Vintage Pink and Pop Rocks Glimmer Mist.   You can see my post on the Tattered Angels blog with all the links HERE.

Here it is without the photo.

I cant even begin to tell you how fun it was to paint this.  I cant wait to do another one.

Speaking of "fun" things.   Have you seen these new stamp releases from Crafty Secrets?  You can get all the info and see samples here on the Heartwarming Vintage blog.
This set is called Grand Greetings

You can see how I used it on this layout , but there is defiantly a sentiment for any card you might be needing to make.
I'm working on something with this set right now and will be sharing it soon.  This is called Mini Frames.
I liked the set right off the bat, but when I read what was written about this set, explaining the ways it could be used , I was really intrigued.    (read the description below)

These mini frame fit sentiments from the Grand Greetings set and the Mini Vintage Scraps, plus - there are also 3 little bails, a long piece of chain and a V chain stamp that can be placed curved on a block to stamp necklaces and create faux photo jewelry & memory keepsakes! There are 18 separate stamps in total and you can curve the words; FAMILY, LOVED, SPECIAL and GIRLFRIEND to fit across the scroll top banners.

Pretty cool huh?

it's another beautiful day, so I'm getting off this computer and going outiside!  Defiantly felling "fallish".    And does it smell good in here.  Wes's friend Andrew brought us some pears from the trees at his farm.  It's finally cool enough to turn on the oven ... so .... Pear crisp was defiantly in order. yum!

I hope you all enjoy this extra day to relax.

LOVING the idea of that Pear Crisp, Miss Vicki--might have to do the same today!

LOVE all the colors on your projects--you sure know how to blend and glimmerize, my friend!

I love the new stamps--haven't gotten a chance to play with them yet--hopefully today! So many possibilities!

Hope you've got something wonderful planned for this "last" day of summer!
