I'm super excited to share my new die! I have been wanting to have a die made to cut paper bows for some time now... so .... I finally did :) It's a "custom die". Make my "AccuCut" of course :) The die has three different sizes. ( you can see them further down in this post).
This is the medium sized bow that I used on this altered project.
I decided to stamp on this one before assembling it. I used Crafty Secrets "Down on the Farm" Clear Art Stamp Set. ( papers and Chicken image is from the "Creating with Vintage Illustrations CD")
Then you add the bow piece to the back ribbon cut piece.
side view
Then you just wrap your center piece around and adhere it in the back.
Below you can see all three sizes
side view. (If you don't want them to be dimensional, you can flatten them also).
Below .. is the largest size.
So I've been busy cutting this weekend :) I've added a number of different things to my etsy...., not just paper things...but other fun stuff :) But I did add the bows in different sizes and colors. The set below is all the smaller "card sized" bows cut from colored cardstock.
I wanted to give you a hit for the small card stock bows. using a pencil to curve the bow, works really well, for a nice shape, and avoids them wanting to fold.
Here is a card example, where I used a small bow. ( Image from Crafty Secrets Digital "Birds and Blossoms" Download
Here's a altered photo holder with a small bow used on it.
I also cut 2 of each size for these groupings to sell. This one is called "Summer Brights" (They will come unassembled like this)
This grouping is called "Vintage Flair". It also comes with two Large, two Med, and two Small. ( unassembled)
So, since I'm celebrating 6 years of blogging this month, and I'm super excited to share my new die, I'm going to draw 6 names from this post to send some to. See I have 6 manila envelopes sitting here on my desk with a variety of cut bow pieced in each one, that are ready to ship out on Friday (the 20th), as soon as I announce the winners. Each one has a number of large, medium and small bows ( unassembled) in it.
So leave a comment in this post between now and Friday if you'd like your name in the hat.
SIX winners will be announced Friday!
here is a peek at a few other things I added to my etsy.
A number of you have asked about the eggs I use in my projects. I haven't been able to find them anywhere to link you too, but I do have a few in different sizes that I can share. Here are the tiny ones..but I have others in my etsy also.
And lots more! (ps. you can always find my etsy link, in the right sidebar of my blog :)
Okay.... that's a lot of sharing for one day, home I didn't wear you out. lol Thanks for stopping by, and be sure to leave a comment in this post if you'd like your name in for the drawing for Friday.
