*Giveaway* State Line Bag Co and Crafty Secrets

Hi Everyone!  I thought it would be fun to start out the Holiday week with a giveaway. Recently I've had the opportunity to play with some of these cotton drawstring bags from State Line Bag Co  They come in so many different sizes, you can find tons of creative uses for them.  You can purchase them retail  HERE
I'll share some things I made using them in this post, but you'll be seeing me use them in other projects down the road :)  ...............So put your name in for this giveaway.. but know that I'll be hosting more down the road, so you'll have other chances also!  All you have to do to be entered for a chance to win, is leave a comment in this post between how and Friday (Sept 7th).  I'll announce the winner that day:)

You know how much I love using my "Creating With" CD's from Crafty Secrets.  Well I put them to use again, while creating these bags.   Sandy from Crafty Secrets was kind enough to add a "Creating with Vintage Typography" CD to this giveaway package.  Huge thanks to both companies!

There are so many great images, papers and templates on all the CD's.  And the fact that I can choose the size I want to print them ..thrills me.  Especially for projects like this.   I choose Halloween images for these treat bags.     Below I'll show you what I used to transfer these images to the bags.  It's really easy.

Of course there are lots of images to choose from on all the CD's and lots of sizes of bags to choose from, so ....decision...decisions... lol... you'll have to choose.

I love this art bag.  You could easily add your name to the paint palette in Photoshop before you print it off on the transfer paper.

I use these Fabric Transfers to print on to add the images to my bags.  It's so easy and you don't have to have a fancy printer. I use my simple ink jet printer, and they transferred really well, and the color looked great.

When you go to print, here is a couple of helpful hints.    This one is important if you are printing anything with words or letters on it.   You need to "flip" your image in your photo editing program, so that your letters will print correctly.

Also, something I had not notice before was that when I went to print, I checked my "preferences" to choose the type of paper I was going to use to fine that a lot of printers have a "T-Shirt Transfer" option, so check for that option on yours :)

Once you've printed off your images, you just follow the directions for ironing, that are on the transfer packaging.  They give you simple hints on the packaging that are very helpful also.
____________________________________

I showed you come sample where I printed and ironed on images, but now I thought I'd show you some that I stamped on.

Crafty Secrets is know for the amazing detail of their stamps, but I wasn't sure if all the detail would be be picked up when stamping on these fabric bags, because of the weave of the fabric. Wrong! They stamps beautifully!  Crafty Secrets Clear Art Stamps

I really really like the look of the bags natural color...but  Glimmer Misting them was some fun for sure.  All you have to do is make sure they are completely dry before stamping on them, if you mist them.

This sweet little stamp is from the Bathing Beauties stamp set.   She tickles me. lol

Next step... stitching on them, I think

It seems I'm not the only one who finds these bags intriguing.  No hope left for the one that dropped on the floor, after Daisy pup found it :(   But it was kind of hard to be very upset with that face.

If you have any ideas spinning around in your head about things to do with these fun bags, please share!  Everyone's creative mind works differently. It's fun to hear others creative thoughts.

ALSO..... Today is Crafty Secrets Linky Party... and we'd love to have you play along.  If you have created anything with Crafty Secrets products.. come share wont you:)  You can link up  here on the Heartwarming Vintage Blog

Thanks for stopping by!

Hi, Vic ...! First, I've got to tell you how I just melt every time I see that precious Daisy. What a sweetheart!! I hope she's good for you ... she looks like she's a constant companion. My Sadie rarely leaves my side; sometimes it's a bit of a nuisance being trailed EVERYWHERE (including the loo!) but she's just doing her job.

The bags are super-sweet, and I do love them for Halloween treats as you've shown. I have a couple of vintage-like stamps from both Crafty Secrets and Waltzing Mouse, and I will say, they are high quality stamps that impress well on just about everything. I'd like to give them a go, coupling them with my Copic air brush system to give them a little splash of whimsy. Maybe another set paired with lace and stitchery?? Hmmmmm....

Very fondly,

I love these. You did such a great job. I was thinking that the littlest ones would be neat on a row of hooks as Advent countdown, each filled with a neat treat. Stamp with a number and a cute picture and color with your pencils or pens. Make a board long enough and paint and then get some cute hooks to screw in and hold. :)
