"Grandma's House" layout using Fancy Pants Designs

Do you every just wish you could go back in time and have a conversation  with someone who's now in heaven?  I think we all do. I look at photos of my Gram and think ... I wish I could talk to her now.  I mean, at my age, knowing what I know now.  She was still around when the boys were young, but I was a  young busy mom and although I loved all her stories and the time we got to spend with her, I wish I could just sit with her now and chat.   And if I'm going to dream, let it be sitting at the table in her pink kitchen with her,  chatting while we wait for the oven timer to go off, letting us know the homemade rolls are done.
The great thing about scrapbooking isn't just preserving the memories .... it's also about reminiscing about the people and places as you create the page.   I thought so much about all my wonderful memories of my grandparents when I was working on this.
Grandma and Grandpa where farmers, so the earlier memories were of the farm.  When they got older they moved to town, to this house. Unfortunately Grandpa passed many years before Grandma did. I remember Grandpa well, Dan and the boys never got to meet him, and I sure wish they could have because he was an amazing man.  Grandma stayed in this house until she was in her nineties.  Her house always smelled like some amazing home cooking. She  had the sweetest pink kitchen, and was always so proud of her windowbox of  geraniums.
This layout was fun to make and fun to remember as I worked on it.
I love the Millie & June collection from Fancy Pants.   They colors are totally my Gram!  And whats funny is I didn't even realize  until I was finished, just why I chose these colors.  They just felt right at the time.
Then I thought about it. I loved my grandmas pink kitchen and always remember being able to pick her house out from the hwy as we drove into town . (VERY small town lol)

This collection has so much cool coordinating things. Like the bows and Patterned Puffy alpha stickers.

LOVE the gold washi tape with this collecton!

I've always loved this picture of my Grandma and her extension club.  They were obviously on a outing to a bigger town near by.

And here is Grandpa and Grandma!

This is a four generation picture with mom , Grandma , Great Grandma and I.

You now me , I just love photos so much , I had to share a few more.lol

I think I've already shared this card, but it's also made with the same collection.

Moving on with other things. I'm super excited!  I have a new Grandpup! His name is Jep!  Amy and Wes adopted him from Muddy Paws Adoption.   They are loving him!

We finally got to see meet him today. We met up at the park and walked the dogs together.  Trying to get them used to each other because Wes and Amy have a trip coming up and Jep will be coming to stay with us while they are gone.

Dan is still trying to recuperate from a bad cold.  I heard Jarad also had a bad cold, so I made a big batch of homemade chicken noodle soup , so I could send some to Jarad and Kate also.   Jarad said he really enjoyed it.

I made them some brownies for good measure.  Kate had been busy with play practice in the evenings after a full day of teaching, so I'm sure she was happy not to have to think about cooking after she got home. It's nice to be home more and not traveling so much so I have time to do things for the kids like this.  I love it!

Last night we went out with my sis and brother in law to celebrate Keiths and mine, October Birthdays.  We ate at a great place called "EAT" in Dodge.  What a fun place with amazing food. We will defiantly be going back often.   The restaurant  is run by Wyatt and Emmetts Grandma and Uncle.   It was so cute when I told Emmett where we were going for my birthday , he looked at me funny and said.. "MY DODGE" lol,   I guess he thinks he's the only one who can go there. lol

If your from around here anywhere near, I highly suggest it.

Your family looks so happy~ You can make some family reunion T-shirts from imprints-tshirt to make them surprise. You can add your family member's picture or add your family name! It's easy, but unique~
