It's been a busy week... so lots to share.  There is no doubt "Spring" is what is on everyones minds lately.  Over at Splitcoast ..this weeks challenge was"Spring"Themed.  So I made my card with an image from  the "Birds and Blossoms" Creative Scraps Sheet.
They really have some fun and inspiring challenges over there in the Crafty Secrets forum each week.  Come join in ...any time!

Mom and I stopped at Jarad and Kate's when we were out getting groceries the other day.  Little Miss Riley was happy to see  us.  Is she just adorable or what.  I love Cloey so much too, but she just doesn't like the camera much.  The two of them are so cute playing together.

Since it was such a nice day... so warm and sunny, I took mom for a little walk through my favorite little place to treasure hunt.. "The Junction"   I try to  stop in for a quick walk through anytime I can squeeze it in, because new things come in, and .........there just might be something I NEED. lol     This time was a prime example of how you just never know what you might find ..that you  do really need.    I've been   kitting "Recipe Book" classes this past week.  I have been looking on line for some small  silverware charms.  All of the ones I found were way more than I could spend for 35+ albums.   I found 2 bags of these darling little light weight metal spoons for $3 each.  90 spoons total!!      (Oh.. and just for good measure..this cute little wooden red divided tray for $4.

But the spoons were JUST what I needed.  They are  SO stinking Cute tied onto the front of the albums!

Some of them were a bit
silver (mirror) spray paint ..fixed that up quickly.

hmmmmm.... I wonder what these spoons where for??
I'll probably never know..but they are going to love their new place of honor on the fronts
of these little albums :)

Oh... I forgot to share this photo when I was talking about stopping over at Jarad and Kates.
When our boys were growing up, they were big into TRAINS.  In our other house, Dan and the boys had the entire basement for their train set up.  Dan built the boys big connecting tables to create a very elaborate system of tracks, buildings, light poles(that worked), ect ect ect...
It was their big hobby! They got train parts and buildings for many many birthdays and Christmas's.
When we moved to this house, it all got carefully put away in big rubbermaid bins, labeled and stored on the shelves in the garage.
I always wondered what would happen to it all? Would the boys (or possibly their kids someday) ever take an interest in them again?        Well, recently the boys have taken an interest in the historic train here in town "The Fremont and Elkhorn Valley Railroad", that ( for now) still runs and is a dinner  train.
They (Jarad, Weston and Kate) have now volunteered to help out. The Railroad is run by volunteers ( amazing huh?).   Anyway the boys are working on setting their train set up to be displayed in the FEVR Depot.   They have been sorting, repairing and doing a trial set up here in Jarad shop.  This is just a photo of "part" of their set up.  Grandpa Dunn would be so proud.  My dad was a railroad man all his life. Way to go boys! I'm proud of you!

I've been having fun with this Easter Retro Vintage Kit from Vintage Street Market that I shared with you a while back.  So many fun little goodies in here.

Here are just a few of the projects I've been working on with goodies from this kit.

The stamp "Easter Greetings" is from Crafty Secrets Heartwarming Vintage "Happy Easter" set.

I hope you'll pop over to the "Vintage Street Market" blog and see all the CREATIVE and beautiful things the Design Team has been posting.  Seriously..... talk about "Creative thinkers" wow!

I have things posted there today, and I'd love to have you come by and  say hello!

Looking forward to a big day of teaching tomorrow in Albion NE.   Such a friendly group of girls!

Hope you are all looking forward to a nice weekend!

  :) Vic

Wow, lots to catch up on. The pup is so cute and what great pictures...the spoons? Someone was watching out for you, they are adorable and as you said, perfect. The basket? Too cute! I mentioned on the other post, I know so few who remember or participated in May Day baskets. We used cheap crpep paper for ruffles when we made them. Glad mom enjoyed the outing and sending a big hug! Loved today's post, smiled like a school kid through the whole thing.

I know they used to use tiny spoons with individual salt cellars at each placesetting but I think these look loarger than what those would have been,

Your little spoons look like sample spoons for tasting ice cream or some other culinary delight. They will be perfect for the recipe albums...saw the pictures on the GASC site. Can't wait to see them IRL.
