Fancy Pants Designs "Insta Album"

This week is packed. Summer is in full swing :)  Seems there is something going everyday. All good stuff... spending time with friends that are in town from out of state, watching the darling little people in my life a bit this week, helping a friend out with some baking for her upcoming wedding company, and getting my carpets cleaned. ( I love getting my carpets cleaned) lol  I know, weird..but it just feels so great when they are all done.  Yes... clean carpets, these are the things that excite me. lol

Hey, if you want something to listen too  while your looking and reading, scroll to the bottom of the post.... that's what I'm listening too while I write.

Today I thought I'd share with you a little mini insta album I created for Fancy Pants.   If you haven't had a chance to do one of these insta albums, you should give it a try because they are so fun to make.

I used the Making Waves Collection for this book.  It has it's own "insta pack" perfect sized pieces for these little albums.

I used photos from our trip to the Outter Banks .   After I picked my photos, I just sized them for the album and printed them out 6 on a sheet like below.  The photos like the one above on the right, was also one of my instagram photos.  I use a free app on my phone to put together more that one photo to make my instagram photo when I post it.  The app is  called Pic Stitch. It's super easy to use .. and like I said, it's free!

All the little tabs, borders, and journal pages are the perfect size for this album.

As you can see, I still have some journaling to do :)
Oh.. and just noticed the date.  I WAS NOT there in 1014 lol, I'm pretty sure it was 2014. Need to fix that. oooops!

Looking at these photos makes me miss this place so much!   I was so lucky that my sis and brother in law  took me with them on this amazing trip!  I had never seen a lighthouse ...and I saw EIGHT on this trip!
And as you can probably see from the photo below... It was SO relaxing.  I wrapped up in a throw,  and went out on our deck in my PJ's every morning to see the sunrise.  It was AMAZING! And if that wasnt enough....  The dolphins greeted me by swimming by.  It was perfect!

I haven't posted for so many days, .... I have a lot to share.   First of  all, I"m so excited  that the baby Cardinals in my hanging plant have hatched. There are two of them.   At least I hope they are Cardinal babies.  I learned a little something last year about birds.  I was excited last year about baby Cardinals in my other hanging plant,... but after sharing photos of the babies on Facebook, a friend enlightened me to the tricks of a COWBIRD.  I had never heard of them.  So it seems that they they come and kick the eggs of the  Cardinals out of the Cardinal nest and then lay their own eggs in the nest. The momma Cardinal will care for the eggs and then for the babies when they are born.. while the cowbird just flys off on it's merry way, leaving all the work to the Cardinal.   That is exactly what had happened.  That momma and daddy Cardinal worked endlessly to feed those cowbird babies until they were almost as big as they were. I think they finally just got too big for the nest.     I found the Cardinal eggs broken on the porch :(
Keep your fingers crossed that is not   what happens this time.  I didn't find any broken eggs so I have hope. I'll keep you posted.

Hollyhocks!!  I love them and you just dont see them like you used too.  They remind me so much of my childhood.  I saw these beauties in an Alley on main street here in my little down.  Arent they gorgeous?  I notice them mostly in small towns and farms now.  I guess people just dont have the "oldies" much anymore.
I'll take Hollyhocks, peonies, lilacs, and Lily of the Valley any day!  My faves!

Jan and I did a little junk'n last Friday.  I number of small town around her had their city wide garage sale days, so we  bounced around and hit a number of them.   I think four towns to be exact :)
The day was just gorgeous, so even the  ride was  amazing!

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but I think Nebraska is truly a beautiful place.

As for a treasures ... oh yes, we found a few :)      I wish you could  see everything in that car!  I found an     awesome aqua wood chair for $10.   I paid $2 for that top bowl.  The three bottom Pyrex pieces together came to $8.  That oval frame was $1 and my sis got that  vintage bunny that lights up for 25 cents!!   She also got that adorable little vintage crib for $25 if I remember correctly.  It was a great day!
I'm so thankful every day to have a sister and a best friend all in one.  We enjoy so many of the same things and  have so much fun together.  I'm a lucky girl!

One of my friends on Facebook posted this  photo.  If you know The Eagles, you'll get it.

Anyway, it make me's been a long time since I've listened to The Eagles an, I love them.  So ...todays music choice is.......

Thanks so much for stopping by, for a chat ( even if it is  a little one sided ) lol

I hope your week is great!!

Wedding Recap / AccuCut Vintage Numbers / Ryan and Erins Colorado wedding

What a wonderful time we had in Colorado celebrating Ryan and Erin!  I have LOTS of photos to share lol  You know me ... I love photos and it's so hard for me to choose which to share.  Trust me, I narrowed it down. lol These are just a few.
Ryan is my nephew. (my sister Jans son).  If you follow my blog, Jan is often the one I'm crafting with :)

A while back I was telling you about how her and I worked on these glitter numbers for the reception tables.  ( see this blog post HERE)    We  used AccuCuts 11" Vintage Numbers Die VN11 to cut them.

We were SO happy with how they turned out! They made such a statement on the tables and looked AMAZING!!

My sister did such a great job of picking just the right mix of  glitters.

Everyone was commenting on how beautiful they looked.

Lets just say, everything about this wedding was beautiful!  How can you go wrong with a setting like this?
The venue gorgeous with a stunning view on all sides.

Below was the area that hordevors we served after the wedding and before the meal which was served inside.

Here is Ryan walking my sis and his grandma down to be seated.

Before we knew it... they were Mr & Mrs

Below is a shot of the lower area, after the ceremony.

Everything was so beautiful.

This is the entrance to the venue. The ladders on each side of the double doors where   old ladders my sis had painted, and they pretties on them are some from my sis and I's vintage clock and  camera collections.

Here is  what it looked like at night.

Inside the entrance .. more of my sis's touches.

It was  just amazing.  The basket there is filled with heart shaped cookies , that were individually wrapped and set out as thank yous at the end of the night.

Here is one table of my crazy family :)   Left to right.  My brothers Ray and Dan, my niece Rhonda from AZ, my sister in law Lori, and although you can see here here, next is my sister in law Linda. Then our son Jarad and our daughter in law Kate.    Wes ( our oldest) was so bummed he couldn't get off work to make the trip.

I snapped a few photos while we were getting the table pretties on , however I seemed to only have  managed to get a photo before they were decorated :(  But you can still  get an idea of the beautiful side room seating.  The view of the mountains was  SO pretty!

Introducing Mr & Mrs.

He dress was SO gorgeous!
Here is a shot of the back of the dress.

I snapped this one  as they were coming up from a few more   photos.

This is the beautiful Venue at night.

We were so happy to be able to be there to witness these to  people we love so much be married.  What a great time.  We enjoyed being able to spend time with family and celebrate!

Why is it that the drive there always goes faster than the drive home? lol  I guess because your not looking forward to anything fun. Laundry, unpacking ect.
The dogs were happy to see us!!

Thanks for stopping by!

PS I'll be posting the banner kits I have for  sale a bit later today if you are interested.

Birthday Bash Card (AccuCut card mat and bow die)

Starting off the week with a new Birthday card.  It seems like I need a birthday card every time I turn around, so I can never have enough. They are my favorite cards to make. You can use about any papers, colors embellishments you want, and go to town.  I love mixing and matching colors and patterns.  I'm so glad the days of  "rules" when it comes to scrapbooking and cardmaking are long gone.  I've been involved in the scrapbook industry for close to 15 years now, I've seen a lot,  and, as far as creative freedom, we've come a long way baby! lol  Whoo hoo!
This is another card I did for AccuCut using the A2 card mats #2 NC704J
you can see  it below the card with both die designs on it.   If you would like to see a sample of the other design on the die used on a project you can see  that HERE in my previous post.

Both these mats are great for cards, but would also be perfect for other projects.  I cant wait to try them out as a mat on a banner.

The bow used on the card, is my AccuCut die design        Bow-VC106LC

Friday the girls were here for crafting.  We met for lunch and then came here to make a couple of projects.  We created  memory jars and also made Summer Banners.

I'm going to be busy this week preparing to head to Colorado for our nephews wedding, but next week I will be posting a few of these Summer Banner kits for sale.   They will all be just slightly different.  I'll post photos of what will come in the kit.  $15 will cover the kit and the shipping.   Hope to have them photographed and here on the blog Monday or Tuesday if anyone is interested.

Time to get some things done around there.  This momma's been slack'n this weekend.   Never helps when it's rainy :(

I hope all is well in your world!

Take care, and we kind to one another.
